Presentation of the Middle East libraries project by Father Youssef Dergham, director of the Center for the conservation of Heritage of Eastern Churches (Lebanon)

This programme aims at safeguarding, restoring, cataloging and digitising the written heritage. It is the result of a cooperation action between the BnF and heritage and research libraries located in the Middle East, thanks to the support of the Total Foundation and the Plastic Omnium group. The website brings together unparalleled collections (manuscripts, prints, photographs, etc.) testifying of the links between the Middle East and the West for several centuries. These documents are presented through themes and enlightened by articles written by international specialists.
