Submitting a website to the BnF

As part of its legal deposit activities, the BnF archives the French Web for heritage and research purposes. This task is shared with the Institut national de l’audiovisuel (INA – National Audiovisual Institute), which is responsible for collecting radio and television websites. The scope of the BnF’s collection includes .fr sites and all French extensions (.paris, .alsace, .bzh, .gf, .mq, etc.); sites whose authors are domiciled in France, and sites produced or hosted in France.

You can suggest one or more URLs to be collected. Only the URL field is compulsory; the other fields, which are optional, are used to describe your selections in order to facilitate the integration of your contributions into our future collections.
